About Us

The LeGrand Family Organization (LFO) is a non-profit organization that will provide a safe recreational environment which will create, develop and enhance self-esteem, team building, responsibility, and leadership among our family.

  • The organization's recreational motivational reunion is for both youth and parents in an attempt to bring the family closer together.
  • The organization’s charitable works and earnings are used for the sole purpose of enhancing the family.
  • The organization will strive to assist the youth’s families in need, set up scholarship programs for the youth, and sponsor year-round special activities for children.
  • The organization intends to encourage service-minded people to serve the family without personal financial rewards, to encourage efficiency, and promote high moral standards in the family.

LeGrand Family History

I have traveled to the French Huguenot Settlement in Manakin. One Side of our family is LeGrand and the other side is Indigenous Black American. The LeGrand arrived in America on our ship, The Peter and Anthony, in the September of 1700 from Amsterdam, Holland.

Our great-grandparents that came with their family were Pierre LeGrand married to our grandmother Judith Vril, their son was Jean Pierre LeGrand, and our grandmother Jane Magdalen Michaux. Their ancient ancestors were from Morocco. These are some of their properties in Manakin Town, and a hotel that they help build.
